I am a self confessed blazer/jacket aficionado, i believe you can never go wrong with a well tailored blazer. My wardrobe is filled with various style blazers/jackets from double and single breasted to tweed and cotton. I love them all and I often opt for a nice trendy look on a night out that has a blazer/jacket as the staple piece. Investing in a sizable blazer/jacket collection is one of my main Laws of style, you don’t have to splurge you can shop smart and increase the size of your collection each time.
As most of my followers will know, I am a huge fan of tailored jackets. I’ve paired my favorite grey tweed single breasted jacket from Scotch and Soda with a crisp white shirt (an essential wardrobe staple for every gent!) and a burgundy knit tie. The burgundy tie looks sharp against the shirt and also compliments the texture of the knit & the grey toned tweed.
Its impossible to feel blue wearing this slick look! Blue tones work really well with this navy check (blazer?!) from
Scotch and Soda. This baby blue knit tie from
Topman goes well with the jacket & stands out against the shirt. The only footwear choice to complete an outfit like this has to be monkstraps. Every gent should own a pair of monkstraps, you will look incredibly sharp wearing them whether you’re at a meeting or having Friday night drinks. I picked up these camel suede monkstraps from
Aldo Shoes.
Don’t be afraid to experiment with colour and print in your wardrobe, you don’t have to go crazy, begin by introducing subtle colours like camel and blue and teaming them with a patterned shirt or trousers. Another staple piece in my wardrobe and a piece that I encourage every gent to invest in, the double breasted camel jacket. I’ve teamed this camel one from
Zara with these patterned trousers from
Zara to make this outfit stand out from the rest!
Casual, classy, cool. This is the perfect look for day or night. The polo shirt gives a laid back feel to the outfit and works really well paired with this old school design vintage blazer from
Lucy’s Lounge and camel suede monkstraps.
Burgundy is just one of those rich colours that look great on any guy and can add a bit of colour without being too in your face! I’ve teamed this burgundy blazer from
ASOS with all black everything and to really sharpen this look up I’ve gone for a collar chain from
Topman instead of a tie keeping the look on trend and perfect for a Saturday night out.
Workwear doesn’t have to be boring! Preppy ties look great with navy & camel colour tones and theres those monkstraps again. Stand out from your colleagues in their navy black standard suits and opt for something a little different. Think outside the box!
Thanks for dropping by guys…
