The suit is the quintessential piece of clothing that is very essential in every guy’s wardrobe. Yes some of us may wear one for work everyday and for some of us it’s a necessity that we turn to once in a blue moon. However it’s one of those things you will need at some point no matter who you are, be it for a wedding, a formal gathering or simply because we want to incorporate some tailoring into our style. With sustainability a huge part of the conversation in fashion at the moment, I decided to do a post on how you can get the most out of that suit.
With that in mind when it comes to picking a suit that’s stylish, one that will not break the bank, be of great quality and is versatile enough to be able to curate a few looks with, this can be a bit of an arduous task. The suit needs to tick a few boxes which range from the style, cut, colour and how well it will fit in with the pieces you already have in your wardrobe. I picked the green suit and yes I know what you are thinking but bear with me on this! This suit has been making the rounds in magazines, red carpets and it’s a suit I feel will be evergreen (no punn intended) in terms of working well this season and come summer. Like I said, we are trying to get the most out of our suit here.
The Dark green double breasted suit is super versatile with how many looks you can create from it. From office attire, smart casual or an after works drinks attire the list goes on with the various looks you can create here. Let’s go through the few ways we can work with this suit below.
First up is the office attire. I went for the perfect winter sartorial outfit, pairing the suit with a turtleneck and the ultimate winter footwear (the Chelsea boot). It’s a clean, elegant and timeless look that many of you by now have seen all over. It’s so stylish and simple to pull of and dark colours complement each other well
For the second look I went for a more relaxed take on tailoring, with a plain white t-shirt, sneakers, a scarf. This is a really relaxed look that will work great for the office on those days you don’t feel like being too formal.
The third look incorporates the trousers, bomber jacket, turtleneck along with the chelsea boots to give you a great night time look perfect for some after work drinks or even datenight. I love pairing a good bomber with some tailoring it’s a smart casual look that never fails to impress.
I hope this gives you a great idea on how you can style your suit and they are several other looks I could have created with this one suit, this is just the tip of the iceberg. This suit is truly a versatile piece of tailoring and you can see why it’s a favourite at the moment.
