The Weekend Getaway

The weekend is upon us and that means for a lot of us it’s a time of work to brunch, go on weekend getaways, indulge in some retail therapy and so on. Question is, what to wear?

I thought I would do a round up of some outfits that can get you through the weekend in style. From a relaxed streetstyle look, a much classier look and something versatile for both during the day and a look you can take into the night. Below are the curated looks for some inspiration.

No tie Fridays, which is a time you can mix and experiment with pieces such as pairing these subtle Pinstripe trousers with a Turtleneck Double breasted cardigan or a classy double breasted coat and loafers. The beauty of all these pieces is the sheer versatility and how you can play around with them with pieces in your wardrobe. This look can be taken from the office and straight to the airport and you will be sure to have some heads turning at the airport.

The second look was all about incorporating dark colours and how you can up style the look by using the elegant white coat. All black is always an easy option but adding a dark shade of green and then throwing over the white coat adds color and dimensions to the look. Perfect for a retail therapy trip or lunch date and this look can even work for a night time dinner date . This is done by just taking out the white coat to give the look an evening wear tone. I also feel this look would even work for some after dinner drinks in a speak easy bar or cocktail bar of which there is no shortage off in the likes of London, Milan or Paris.

The last look is a fusion between athleisure wear/ Streetstyle, super relaxed yet still fashionable. This is my take on what I would love my Sunday outfit to be like after a night out of food, and wine and because I just want to be in something that’s comfortable but still a head turner. The entire look was based around this eye catching Dries Van Noten reversible coat. I utilised the colours on the coat, the oranges , whites and dark tones to piece together the entire look and create something very Anderson Paak esque. Don’t know him, look him up! He’s one of the most stylish and one of the best rappers out there at the moment whose fusion of funk, jazz, soul and rap have propelled him into the lime light and I suppose the inspiration for this look.

Hope this gives you some style inspiration and gets you through the weekend in head turning outfits worthy of the fashion capitals.
