Acessories are a key element in my wardrobe when it comes to my outfits and being a bespectacled gentleman, stylish and equally versatile, eyewear is something that is important.
The new, expertly crafted Osiris x Gary Barlow collection from Specsavers is undoubtedly one of the most stylish eyewear ranges I have seen to date. With the range being a fusion of Nordic and Italian design and German craftsmanship, it showcases round metallic frames, handcrafted square acetate, sweeping curves and dynamic angular shapes to offer a choice of looks from sophisticated to street-smart. The classic designs have been reinvented alongside modern trends to create the stunning new Osiris eyewear collection. Timeless tortoiseshell, classic sleek black and vibrant dashes of detail and colour hit all the right notes.
The eyewear range is handcrafted from the highest quality materials such as Italian acetate at the family-run Mazzucchelli factory, a worldwide leader in spectacle materials. Their dedication to impeccable craftsmanship means that every frame they produce receives meticulous attention and care during the crafting process, while flex-hinges are manufactured and assembled by OBE of Germany, a leading name in industry.
For my collaboration with Specsavers on this range I had to pick three pieces from the collection and style them with various looks that complemented the range. Picking my top three favourites wasn’t an easy feat as every piece from the collection caught my eye. I went for an Italian inspired take on my looks, the pieces I chose from the collection to channel that effortless style were:
With a definite influence from vintage Italian style movies, these frames are super versatile and work well with a classic tailored look or relaxed smart casual style. I went for the classic DB suit look that Italians are well known for my own take on Italian Sprezzatura. Effortless tailoring style that will be sure to turn heads and a look that complements the frames really well.
With a detailed stunning frame and design these frames can work well with a tailored look or tailored relaxed casual look. The classic white trousers and navy blazer look is a true Italian classic look that works well with the frames. For my relaxed smart casual look I paired the frames with a two piece baby blue suit, white sneakers and a polo. Elegant, classy but very relaxed and a look I feel, gives a bit of an edge.
The opportunities to wear sunglasses are few and far between. But with summer nearly here, you should take full advantage with a new pair of shades. Shop classic, and they’ll last till next season, but shop clever, and they’ll be a crowning glory to every summer look in your rotation. Hence why I chose the classic Italian style sunglasses from the range that will help you channel some major Italian riviera style.
The range is stunning and the sheer versatility of these glasses allows you to create so many looks that can complement the frames and up the ante on your style. They are on trend and they highlight the fact that glasses don’t have to be just functional, you can make them an essential style accessory to your wardrobe whether you need them or not. All frames are available at Specsavers.
