In this day and age it’s not often that you still find a fifth generation family owned business let alone a British shoe company that has withstood the test of time. When I discovered Loake Shoemakers now had their first flagship store in Dublin I just had to work with them and alas here we are collaborating together.
This superb British shoe company as been handcrafting impeccable leather footwear since 1880 a feat that not many companies out there can have as bragging rights and not to mention having a Royal Warrants of Appointment which is a mark of recognition to those who supply goods or services to the Households of HM The Queen, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh or HRH The Prince of Wales. If it’s good enough for the royal family then it’s definitely good enough for you! You can have a brief look at their history from the video below.
From Chelsea boots, to Brogues to single monk straps, to double monks straps, to name but a very few, the selection of these amazing shoes goes on. The attention to detail for each piece is superb! The staff themselves pride themselves in excellent customer service and making sure each customer receives a pair of shoes that fit to perfection! Before fitting you with your shoes they make measure each foot. Then upon being measured they fit you with a perfect size! Ensuring you have the perfect fit means that you are buying a pair of shoes that will you will be comfortable in and most importantly, last a lifetime.
The great thing about this brand is that they also have a repair and refurbishment service for when your shoes work up some mileage over the years. When you buy Loake shoes you buy shoes that will withstand the test of time just as the brand has.
I own quite a variety of shoes and one thing I realised I didn’t own was a pair of brown double monk straps. Instead of the brown leather I chose the more versatile brown suede monks because I felt I could do more with them than the classic brown leather. These monks work so well with a variety of looks so I decided to do 3 totally different looks you could try out with these superb shoes!
Have a look below and be sure to go check out the Dublin Loake shoemakers flagship store on Wicklow street and you can also shop their collections online.
