Last night I got a chance to check out Eatzen over in Ashbourne. Eatzen is a Fine dining Asian restaurant only 20 minutes away from Dublin, it’s a trip worth taking to this fine dining restaurant and here’s why. *Quick disclaimer this post is a sponsored post however this is an honest review of my experience and all views/opinions are all mine*.
The restaurant itself boasts a modern, minimalist yet elegant decor, perfect for a romantic meal or nights out with friends offering a dining experience like none other. The dining booths are perfect as they offer a much more private dining experience away from the main dining area. The restaurant also has a full bar fully kitted out with a wide range of spirits and an extensive selection of top of the range wines to help wash down the meal. The staff and customer service was superb and quite reminiscent to that of the kind of service you would receive at a Michelin star restaurant.
When it comes down to the food itself prepared by a Chef who’s worked under big names such as Gordon Ramsey, the Hakkasan group to mention a few, the food is prepped with the finest of fresh ingredients and plated in a picturesque manner. With a tasteful menu that has everything from fish, chicken, beef dishes to mention a few. You are a spoilt for choice on what to pick and everything on that menu sounds divine!
To start I had the Zen trinity which consisted of spare rib, satay chicken skewer and Thai vegetable roll together on a platter. My friend Christina had the 1/4 aromatic duck served with pancake wraps, cucumber, spring onion and hoisin sauce.
For the main I opted for the stir fried strips of beef with fresh mango and steamed rice (which I took home just so I could get a chance to have that perfect main again). Christina had the sweet chilli chicken with egg fried rice.
The Crème brûlée was definitely the cherry on top for my dining experience. It was prepared to perfection and I being a self appointed Crème brûlée connoisseur it was it was just the perfect portion size. Enough to keep me wanting more and not too much to leave me with that sickly sweet feeling you get when you have had to much of a good thing. Christina had the Mango and Coconut cheesecake which I of course had to try and I wasn’t disappointed.
At price points that rival many fine dining restaurants, I truly can’t find anything to fault from my experience at Eatzen. I will definitely be taking a trip back to the restaurant very soon and perhaps bring a big group with me for the private dining experience in their ever so elegant private dining room. However don’t take my word for it, make a dinner reservation try it out and I can assure you, you shan’t be disappointed!
Huge thanks to Eatzen for a great night, really appreciate it!
